The Fresno County Public Safety Association was established in 2016 to advocate and support in all labor related matters involving our membership. Our members receive guidance and legal counsel when needed. We are firmly dedicated to securing a safe workplace and equitable compensation for our membership. We exist as an advocate to support legislation that benefits our membership. In addition, we provide services and assistance focusing on the health, welfare and development of our members. We are passionate about building trust with our local communities and strive to actively give back in many capacities.

Why are Correctional Officers salaries not being increased fairly along with other classifications within the Sheriffs Department?
The FCPSA is announcing it has postponed its strike which was scheduled for May 23rd, 2022, to begin instead on June 20th 2022.
FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – In just 13 days, correctional officers at the Fresno County Jail could walk off the job. The Fresno County Public Safety Association has a strike planned for May 23.
The FCPSA announcing its intent to strike commencing May 23rd, 2022 to draw attention to the extreme lack of equity between our members and those of other bargaining unit(s) within the County.
Our association’s founders believed that not only should an association support members in work related matters, but also promote overall well being. The Foundation Gym was created to assist our members in reaching that goal. Our gym gives members an outlet to relieve stress, promote overall wellness, and to be better prepared for high-stress situations.
